Prabowo Subianto Attends Gaza Summit in Jordan, Meets with King Abdullah II

Rel, Jakarta - Indonesian Minister of Defense, Prabowo Subianto, has arrived in Amman, Jordan, to attend the Gaza Summit.

Prabowo also had a meeting with King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein.

The meeting took place amidst Prabowo's representation of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) at the high-level conference 'Call for Action: Urgent Humanitarian Response for Gaza,' held on June 11, 2024.

"Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakaatuh, H.E. Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein. Thank you for this opportunity. It's a pleasure to meet you, Your Majesty," greeted Prabowo.

During the meeting, Prabowo conveyed warm regards from President Jokowi. He emphasized Jordan's active partnership with Indonesia in advocating for the people of Palestine.

"The Indonesian government is closely monitoring the deteriorating situation in Gaza. The number of casualties continues to rise.

Indonesia is deeply concerned about the vulnerable condition of the people in Gaza at the moment," stated Prabowo.

On the other hand, King Abdullah II expressed his gratitude and respect for Prabowo's presence in Jordan, representing President Jokowi at the high-level conference on Gaza.(*)
